TWiRT 51 - Remotely Speaking

We're talking about technologies - some older ones - for bringing audio from live, outside broadcasts back to the studio.  Marti, Comrex, JK Audio, Telos, satellite, and more.

Wikipedia entry for Remote Broadcast

We didn't mention one of the oldest remote broadcast technologies.  It's using dedicated audio lines provided by the local telco.  Equalized lines were available, as well as non-equalized lines.  Some equipment used with such "nailed-up" lines (direct from the remote site to the studio) is shown here.
